ANY STUDENT WITH LIVE LICE AND/OR NITS WILL BE SENT HOME.

The student will remain at home until treated. They may return to school AFTER TREATMENT, IF there are no live lice present. If the child continues to have nits, there are products available specifically for nits, and may be used after initial treatments.

Remember that caps, combs, brushes, hair ornaments and any other kind of head gear will need to be washed, soaked and /or treated. All linens and anything that can be pulled over the head, will need to be washed in very hot water. Any furniture or other items that come in contact with the head, need to be treated also. Discouraging the sharing of any of the above mentioned items will help to prevent sharing of the problem.

Please help to address this individual condition, so that it will not become a larger problem.
