Avery, an eighth grade student in Texas and former Monterey student, won the honor of Miss Texas Junior High Rodeo Queen for 2007-2008. She will be making appeared all over the state of Texas promoting rodeo to the youth. She was presented at the Miss Rodeo Texas competition in San Antonio and traveled with the Texas Junior High Rodeo team to New Mexico. Avery will attend the National Finals in Las Vegas.
