New Seatbelt Law

The new law is very detailed as to the type of restraint and the age of the child, but that section regarding the back seat requirement is copied below.
(5) A child who is younger than thirteen years of age shall be transported
in the rear seat of a motor vehicle, when available, in a properly used child
restraint system, belt-positioning child booster seat, or adult safety belt that
complies with all applicable federal regulations.

Senior parents and students,

Graduation will be on July 13, 2020 at 7:00 pm at the Vidalia Riverfront Convention Center. Each student will receive 12 tickets. Every person no matter age (90 or lapbaby) must have a ticket to enter the event. Students must come by the school on Monday, June 22 or Tuesday, June 23 to pick up tickets and sign a form stating whether the student is or is not participating in the graduation ceremony. If a student has a guest that needs handicap accessibility, please let Ms. Cecilia know before June 23rd.

If a student has received a scholarship, it is the student's responsibility to get that information to Ms. Cecilia by email before June 23rd.

According to school board policy, families other than Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be seated alphabetically, no exceptions. Families are asked to enter together and take their seats immediately due to social distancing policies. Families will be dismissed in reverse alphabetical order. Students may not give unused tickets to other students due to families having to sit together for social distancing policies.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian need to have speeches turned in to be approved by July 1st. Email them to Ms. Cecilia, Ms. Paula and Ms. Hale. Valedictorian and Salutatorian also need to be at the convention center on Sunday, July 12th at 2:00.

Parents interested in helping with stage decorations need to meet at the convention center on Sunday, July 12th at 2:00.

Concordia Parish School District - Bus Policy

Due to the liability issues – We are not to take phone calls, text messages, etc. from parents to change regular afternoon mode of transportation. THE CHILD MUST HAVE A NOTE from parent TO GO FROM CAR RIDER TO BUS RIDER AND FROM BUS RIDER TO CAR RIDER.

We ALSO must have a note from parent if place of drop off changes on the bus. The note MUST be signed by teacher and sent to office to be signed by Principal or Asst. Principal. The bus driver will NOT drop a student off at any place other than regular place of drop off without a note with proper signatures. If a student is in grades 6-12 the note only needs to be signed by Principal or Asst. Principal – not teacher.
